A few months ago, a returning customer asked us to provide an economical fence for her horses about a two-acre area.
After doing a site visit, we proposed a four-smooth wire and t-post fence. The wires were stretched between welded steel pipe corner braces. We also set the wire spacing to accommodate wildlife passing through. The bottom space is 16” so the little guys can crawl under and the top is 16” so the jumping deer don’t get their legs caught between. The center two are 10”
We also installed rubber caps on the t-posts so the livestock wouldn’t injure themselves on the post tops.
All the goals were met an economical fence, built well enough to hold the customer’s livestock while at the same time being wildlife-friendly.
